THE RED ROOM REPORTER
JUNE 29 – JULY 3 AND JULY 6 – 10
It is hard to believe that we are already heading into the last two weeks of Session 1! We have had so much fun together. I am looking forward to having some of our Red Room classmates return for Session 2. If this is the only session your child is attending, I hope you and your family have a wonderful rest of the summer. Hopefully, we will see you again this fall or next summer.
The last two weeks of the session will be spent on July 4th activities and a unit on pets. Please note that Share Day is on Thursday, July 2 in the afternoon.
PLEASE NOTE THAT KINDERFARM WILL BE CLOSED JULY 3rd.
MONDAY – Unfortunately many 4th of July fireworks displays have been cancelled this year. With that in mind the children will make their own fireworks display….. on paper! We will also be making fireworks in a jar. Ask your child to tell you about it. Science is so cool!
TUESDAY – The 4th of July is right around the corner. With that in mind, the children will be making a patriotic headband to wear as they celebrate the birth of our nation.
WEDNESDAY – The bald eagle is our nation’s symbol. After looking at pictures of bald eagles the children will create an eagle of their own in the form of a puppet. Ask your child to share some eagle facts with you.
THURSDAY – Our morning will be spent making straw rockets. In the afternoon we will have Share Day. Face painting will end our time together.
FRIDAY – HAVE A WONDERFUL 4TH OF JULY AND A WONDERFUL LONG WEEKEND!
JULY 6 – 10
MONDAY – This afternoon we will create pet birds using the toilet paper tube we painted this morning, feathers, googly eyes, and a paper beak. I already know these are going to be super cute and an easy pet to care for! 😊
TUESDAY – We have several cats at Kinderfarm. Time with some kittens will be the purrrfect lead up to todays activity. 😊
WEDNESDAY – Clifford is the Red Roomers favorite big dog because he is red of course! After reading a few Clifford stories the children will make their own Clifford using heart shapes.
THURSDAY – Fish are the perfect pet for many families. Our craft today will illustrate what a fish looks like as you bring it home from the pet store.
FRIDAY – Today the boys and girls will be making their own dog collars. Dog Games are also on our agenda.
SUMMERS AT KINDERFARM ARE THE BEST!
