Newsletter: Blue’s News

May14-25

Hello blue room families.  I hope all of you moms had a great Mother’s Day yesterday.  I know the students loved making you their special gift last week.

This is the last blue room newsletter of the year.  This year has flown by and we have had a lot of fun.  

Just a reminder that the last day of classes will be May 23rd for the MWF group and May 24th for the T/Th and everyday group.  Graduation will be held on the 25th for students entering Kindergarten.  If you have any questions about graduation, please don’t hesitate to call Kinderfarm.

I will be gone on Tuesday, May 15th.  I am chaperoning a trip with my son’s Kindergarten class.  We are planning on having Diana work with the kids that day.

For the last two weeks, we are going to let the children decide some of their favorite things to do.  We also have some graduation preparations to complete for the older children.  Some of the activities we may do these two weeks are:

            --working in the garden
            --taking walks around the pond
            --playing with the parachute
            --reading stories outside
            --playing games, both inside and outside
            --painting with the easel
            --cooking projects
            --preparing for graduation
            --bubbles
            --sidewalk chalk

It saddens me tell you all that this will be my last newsletter as I am not returning to Kinderfarm after this spring session is over.  I will miss the students, families, and teaching a lot, but I feel that this is the best decision, both for me and my family.   I hope to see you around Iowa City and keep tabs on my blue roomers as they grow up!
